- Lead the development and implementation of functional safety concepts for SoC designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and other relevant safety regulations
- Work with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, verification, physical design, and validation) to ensure the integration of functional safety mechanisms within the SoC architecture
- Develop safety requirements and conduct risk assessments to identify hazards, potential failure modes, and safety goals for SoC designs
- Define and document safety-related architectural patterns, including fault detection, fault tolerance, and error handling mechanisms
- Support of safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, DFA, and FMEDA for SoC designs and complex IPs
- Collaborate with software teams to ensure functional safety requirements are met at both the hardware and software levels (e.g., through diagnostic software, bootloaders, fault management routines, etc.)
- Develop safety documentation in compliance with ISO 26262, including Safety Concepts, Safety Requirements Specifications, Safety Reports, and Safety Architecture / Design Specifications
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on functional safety principles and implementation techniques
We are more than 100 engineers in Germany and the Netherlands with a focus on the development and design of complex digital SoCs, Embedded Software and discrete Systems, having design centers in Hannover, Hamburg, Braunschweig and Waalre (NL).
More than 25 years of experience in the micro-electronics industry make us experts in turnkey solutions from specification to production and delivery – including embedded Linux or Android based Board Support Packages (BSP), Linux or Android driver development or porting, and high-speed PCB design with all necessary qualifications like CE and FCC.
With a clear focus on imaging and computer vision applications in the automotive and mobile markets our clients can always rely on our expertise and outstanding engineering skills.
